Financially supported training for Level 2 Award and Level 3 Certificate

The East of England and East Midlands Regional Youth Work Unit has 75 financially supported places available for the Level 2 Youth Work award and 16 financially supported places for the Level 3 Certificate over the next year.

The courses will be available across the region and will be delivered on-line.

Learners will need to produce a portfolio of evidence for each unit which will need to be completed shortly after the end of the course. Learners will spend typically 15 hours per month study time.

To be eligible for the Level 2 places you need to be involved in Youth Work in either a voluntary or paid capacity and undertaking 2 hours work per week with young people.

To be eligible for the Level 3 places you need to be currently delivering Youth Work in either a voluntary or paid capacity, be working with groups or if working with individuals be able to create groupwork projects and be undertaking a minimum of 3 hours work per week with young people. Level 3 candidates need to be supported by a workplace supervisor who can observe practice from time to time.

Places will be allocated on a first come basis by region and who meet the above criteria.
